A chance to get back to winning ways
City’s push for promotion was hindered last weekend as Maidstone United clinched a 2-1 victory at the Gallagher stadium to increase the distance between the two sides at the top of the table. The defeat places the Hoops in 4th position in the National League South, three points behind Dartford in 3rd and three points above Ebbsfleet in 5th.
The Hoops remain in a solid run of form with four wins from six games however, Andy Ballard and Ross Jenkins will be without striker Harvey Bradbury for the game against the Clarets after being sent off in stoppage time against Maidstone.
The Clarets still in form?
Chelmsford City suffered a 2-0 loss to league leaders Dorking in their last fixture yet, prior to that match, the Clarets were unbeaten in four in VNLS which included a shock 1-3 win to promotion challengers Dulwich Hamlet.
The Clarets sit comfortably in midtable in 14th, ten places behind the Hoops and seven points above the drop zone.
