MATCH PREVIEW | OXFORD CITY WOMEN v RUSHMOOR COMMUNITY

Andrew Gate • February 3, 2023

Oxford City Women’s Manager Aliyah Anthony is hopeful that her side can progress to the next round of the League Cup against Rushmoor Community on Sunday.

City were given a walkover in the Oxfordshire Women's Cup against Banbury United at the weekend, so haven't had a game for two weeks, making Sunday a perfect opportunity to get back to winning ways.

"Rushmoor will pose a tough test for us." Said Anthony.

"We were looking forward to two games in the cup, but after last week's cancellation, we're raring to go again!

"The girls have been working hard all season and any run in any competition is a massive bonus for us. Any extra games that we can get as a team I can only see as a positive. The more we play, the better we get and the more we get to know each other."

City's game against Rushmoor is free to watch for supporters. Kick-off is at 2pm at the RAW Charging Stadium and we'd love to see as many supporters cheering on the girls as possible.
