Oxford City FC are delighted to be partnering with a fantastic cause this December as the Hoops team up with the Oxford Hospitals Charity.
Oxford Hospitals Charity helps to transform care - funding the best medical equipment, research, training and facilities for patients and staff across hospitals in our wonderful city.
If you live in Oxfordshire then you will have relied on those staff and used those hospitals at some stage and at this time of year we are asking people to give a little back if you can.
The Oxford Hospitals Charity works across the John Radcliffe, Churchill , Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, and Horton hospitals and helped create the Cancer and Heart Centres in Oxford, as well as the Oxford Children's Hospital.
Manager Ross Jenkins told us
“It’s a great charity and the club is doing amazing work spreading the word and helping across the entire community. The MGroup Stadium is always in the shadow of the Children’s Hospital so they are always in our thoughts and plans and if we can raise a little money at Christmas for their appeal then that’s wonderful”.
The players will be wearing t-shirts when the Oxford Hospitals Charity are our special guests for the home game against Spennymoor on December 21st.
Jamie French of the Oxford Hospitals Charity said
“It was nice to come along and meet the players and staff and we’re really looking forward to working with the club to help raise funds throughout December but also throughout 2025”.
From the small things, like providing quality reclining chairs for cancer patients having lengthy chemotherapy, to larger projects, such as funding specialist imaging equipment the Oxford Hospitals Charity is your local charity supporting your local hospitals.
