OXFORD CITY FC SUPPORTS OVER THIRTY LOCAL CHARITIES AHEAD OF FAMILY DAY

Andrew Gate • April 20, 2023

Ahead of Saturday's Family Day, Oxford City Football Club have supported over thirty local charities by offering free tickets to the club's final home game of the season.

As part of the club’s commitment to making football more accessible to the local community, the Hoops reached out to the local Oxfordshire community and many already taken up the offer ahead of Saturday’s match.

City’s final home game of the season against Havant & Waterlooville on Saturday 22nd April has been designated as the club’s annual Family Day, and it couldn’t have come at a better time in the season with the Hoops in the thick of the play-off chase.

Children’s activities will be available at the event from 1pm and will include a Bouncy Castle, Speed-Gun challenge and face painting throughout the day.

However, there’s plenty for adults to enjoy too, with LIVE music in City’s 1882 Bar after the match from local band Blue Dayz alongside our famed 'Footy Scran' food.

Partnerships Manager Caroline O’Connor said: “We’re looking forward to the day and we’re grateful that we can reward some fantastic local charities who do such a stellar job in and around Oxford.”

“Especially in times like these, it can be tough to find affordable days out for the whole family to enjoy, but with under 18’s gaining free entry to all of our games alongside this offer, it’s a great chance to give something back.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming new families for a brilliant day but also showing them what Oxford City FC is all about!

“Hopefully they all enjoy their day with us.”
