Over the past few weeks, Oxford City Football Club held the Under 11’s National League Trust Tournaments. 

The tournaments took place on our community pitches, they included a ‘girls only’ competition as well as a mixed one, and over 30 schools from in and amongst Oxfordshire participated overall. 

As a Vanarama National League club, Oxford City FC are supported by the National League Trust. As a club that plays a big part in the community, the support subsequently creates brilliant opportunities to invite keen schools and students to play competitive football, whilst in a safe and exciting environment. 

Approximately 330 enthusiastic students took part in the tournaments. This incredible amount of involvement wouldn’t be possible without the support of both the schools and the National League Trust.

The NLT supports community programmes at football clubs who are members of the three divisions of the National League.

The trust has offered over 600 grants with the total value hitting nearly 10 million pounds. Over 100 programmes are also funded by the trust. 

At Oxford City FC we love to be involved in and offer activities, such as the Under 11’s National League Trust tournaments, to the community.

Not only do the winners of the tournaments get to represent their schools and us in the next round, it’s also a great opportunity for students to develop new friendships as well as both learning and presenting great sportsmanship.
