Goals from Ewan Clark, Pelumi Maxwell and Jayden Carbon helped Oxford City U23’s secure a 3-1 win over Woking U23’s on Tuesday night.

The young Hoops bounced back from their last outing (a 4-0 defeat against Chippenham Town), to rise to ninth in the Suburban Football League.

U23’s manager Lloyd Owers was delighted with his side's performance and praised the teams development in all areas of the game.

“We dominated the game from start to finish, which was pleasing to see after some recent games.” Said Owers.

“It was great to be able to work as a set squad recently, and the addition of a couple of new faces also benefited us.

“It was a good performance overall, we were defensively more compact and showed some good attacking combinations and scored three well taken goals.”

Starting XI: Kai Fletcher, Pelumi Maxwell, Aaron Bryan, Ben Barrett, Ewan Clark, Jamie Horne, Carsel Hylton, Latrell Ewers, Haroon Erima, Hosni Elarfa, Calvin Allen.

Substitutes: Denzel Tengwana, Riley Pledge, Yudai Niroshima, Gabriella Amadiah, Jayden Carbon
