Tayman at the double as City score six

Oxford City Women got back to winning ways this afternoon as they beat Badshot Lea 6-1 at Court Place Farm,.

Having lost to leaders Ascot last week when the two unbeaten teams met, City responded in fine style with a superb first half that saw them lead 5-0 at the break through Emily Harris, Emma Donohoe, an own goal and two goals from Georgina Tayman. Ellie White then made it six in the second half despite a consolation for the visitors.

City got off to a perfect start when the excellent Harris drove home from 25 yards in just the sixth minute and captain Tayman then fired home from the edge of the box to make it 2-0 after 12 minutes

Donohoe’s fourth goal in three games made the points safe as early as the 19th minute with an own goal making it 4-0 and Tayman making it it five on 34 minutes when she rolled into the empty net for her second of the game.

Ellie White’s cross was stabbed home by Crouch to make it five and although the visitors pulled one back soon after the break White restored the five goal advantage as she powered past three challenges and made the final score 6-1 .

"It was another terrific performance" Joint Manager Connor Walton told us. "We spoke about starting on the front foot and dominating teams early in  games and we managed to do that, which is all about belief and confidence.

"We were clinical in front of goal, we worked really hard and we have become very consistent this season so let's keep that going and let's keep enjoying our football."
