Connor Walton | It's a must-win game for us

Women's Manager ahead of Sunday's trip to Badshot Lea.

Oxford City Women’s First Team Manager Connor Walton has said that Sunday’s away trip to Badshot Lea Ladies is a ‘must-win’ game.

The Hoops have been flying in the league recently, and another three points against the Southern Regional Women’s League bottom-side would go some way in securing a spot in the top three.

If the team can do that, it will be one of the club’s best finishes in years.

However, Walton has re-instated the point that his side need to do everything in their power to pick up three points at the weekend.

“It’s definitely feel it’s a must-win game for us,” he told www.oxfordcityfc.co.uk

“Especially if we’re trying to hit our target and the project that we set for ourselves at the start of the season.

“We want to get maximum points in every game that we possibly can.

“They’re (Badshot) a good team, but I feel we can go there and give them a good game.

“They’ll need three points to try and stay in the league, but it’s definitely going to be one of those games where we have to make sure we’re prepared.

“We’re going to be training on Tuesday and Friday to make sure we’re mentally and physically prepared to play on Sunday.

“We can get maximum points, but we have to do the right things and apply ourselves on the pitch to give ourselves the best possible chance of doing that.”
