Oxford City Women get their season under way this weekend when they travel to Sholing.
Sholing, from Southampton, are known as the Boatwomen and will offer a tough test as Manager Connor Walton told us:
“Pre-Season has gone well and we can’t wait for the real thing to start now.
“We had a good season last year and are building the women’s side of things here which is very exciting.
"We have brought in a number of new faces and that is always a challenge but they have fitted in really well with the group and we feel as though we have a really good mixture of experience and youth.
“We’d have loved to kick off with a home game but we’ll travel to Sholing having done our homework and fully prepared.
“I want to thank the players and staff for their hard work over the last month or so. It has been a real team effort and now we look to turn that into a first win on Sunday”.
The Hoops’ first game at Court Place Farm is against Winchester City Flyers, followed by a big away fixture against league newcomers Reading.
City will host Woodley United in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup Second Qualifying Round on Sunday 22nd September, before they round off the month against Selsey at home.
A Season Ticket for this season includes both men and Women’s matches.
