Oxford City Women’s Manager Connor Walton is looking forward to Sunday’s trip to Reading in the SRWFL.
It’s been a successful start to the season for the Hoops, who won their first match of the season last weekend with a 2-1 victory over Winchester City Flyers.
However, league newcomers Reading will present a different test.
The Royals have had a turbulent summer after withdrawing from the National League due to financial difficulties.
This is their first season in the SRWFL and they’ll be looking to bounce back, something Walton is aware of:
“We know how big of a club Reading are, and their troubles over the summer have been well documented.” He told www.oxfordcityfc.co.uk.
“They’ll have a team of players determined to make this a successful season for them.
“However, so do we, and we want to keep our good run going.
“The players have been working hard in training, and we’re looking forward to another run of fixtures where we can show everyone what we can do.
“Last Sunday’s win over Winchester was a great day, and we all want to experience that as many times as possible.
However, we have to put that behind us and kick-on now.”
