The Hoops Goalkeeper has had a superb season in between the sticks keeping fourteen clean sheets this season.
This is Dudzinski's second season at the club and the recognition comes as no surprise to the City fans who have seen him play week in week out this season.
"It feels good." said 'Dudz'.
"I’ve worked really hard all season to perform well so it’s a nice achievement.
"It’s great to see Ashby in there too, it’s really well deserved and I think there are many City players that would be deserving of a place in the team."
"Knowing that opponents have recognised that you’ve been tough to play against and made an impression has a nice element to it."
At one point in the season, City looked impenetrable. Dudzinski and the Hoops backline went 450 minutes without conceding a goal in VNLS and kept seven clean sheets in eight games and Dudzinski says he couldn't have done it without his team mates.
"I think getting seven clean sheets in eight league games was a great highlight.
"It was more satisfying that being a team effort & achievement, it’s not easy to do and required all of us to be at our best.
"Being a part of a brilliant team definitely increases the chance of any of us being recognised like this. That extends to the coaches such as Fos (Alan Foster, City's Goalkeeping Coach) and of course the rest of the Goalkeeper group here who have helped to create a great environment.
"I love the club and everyone involved and it’s a place that enables you to be at your best.
"Thank you to everyone away from club who’s supported me relentlessly this year, you know who you are!"
Congratulations Ben!
