Six-goal star reviews emphatic 9-0 FA Cup victory.

After an emphatic 9-0 victory away at Slough Town in the Women’s FA Cup, Oxford City booked their place in the third qualifying round in some style.

Emily Harris’ hat-trick and an incredible SIX goals from Ellie White saw the Hoops cruise through to the next round of the competition.

After the match, player of the match White spoke to www.oxfordcityfc.co.uk with her thoughts on a dominant performance.

“I think we played amazingly as a team,” said White.

“That’s the best performance that we’ve had all season but there’s definitely more to come from here.

“We need to take the positives and keep striving forward.”

All nine goals were split between just two players on the afternoon. Despite Harris’ hat-trick, the striker was in an incredibly rare position where a hat-trick scorer didn’t leave with the matchball.

However, White was full of praise for her teammate and says that their partnership is blossoming on the pitch.

“I think it’s incredible [the partnership between herself and Emily Harris].

“We’ve seen today that we have a great connection and we bounce off each other and we have to keep pushing at it and seeing what happens.

“We knew we had to come into this game with the win.

“The past four games we’ve dropped a few points we feel we haven’t deserved to, so to come away with a 9-0 win is absolutely incredible and credit to all of the girls.

“We’re all buzzing to get the victory, so we just have to keep pushing on and the results will come.”
