Oxford City will face Warrington Town in the National League North Saturday, with it being the first meeting between the sides.
The Hoops come into this match on the back of an impressive last gasp point at promotion-favourites Scunthorpe. Aaron Drewe's header earned the Hoops a hard fought 2-2 draw.
However they’ve been made to wait 14 days after that for the next piece of action following the postponement at home against Alfreton Town due to their recent FA Cup progress.
www.oxfordcityfc.co.uk spoke to youngster Jayden Carbon ahead of Saturday’s fixture and he feels ready to go again.
“I think after coming off the back of a decent result away to Scunthorpe, all the boys are up for it." He said.
“We've had the international break since, which after a positive result wasn’t ideal, but I’m looking forward to getting back on the pitch and making things right.
“The boys are sharp, we’re full of energy and we’re looking ready.
“We’ve done some analysis of them (Warrington), but we go into each game looking for a positive result by focusing on ourselves more than the opponent.
“A draw away to Scunthorpe wasn’t a bad result, but we want to go into every game looking for the win. We’re looking to put things even more right on Saturday, to get our season started properly”.
