Josh Ashby extends his Oxford City stay
Midfielder commits to City.
Oxford City FC are delighted to announce that Josh Ashby has signed a new deal with the club ahead of the 24/25 season.
The dynamic midfielder joined us permanently from Oxford United in 2018 and has since gone on to make 250 appearances for the club.
Since joining the club, Ashby has been instrumental in the recent success we’ve had as a club. He scored the winning penalty in the club’s FA Cup 1st round victory over League One side Northampton Town, and added the third goal in the National League South Promotion Final.
However, there are many more achievements to note throughout his six seasons at Court Place Farm, with 36 goals to his name during that time.
“I’m delighted to sign again for next season.” Ashby said.
“It’s my seventh season here now. I really enjoy it here and there’s a good group of lads.
“Now there’s a new management team coming in and a new division as well, so it’s a new challenge for us but it’s one I’m really looking forward to get going with.”
