Oxford City Manager Connor Walton has expressed his excitement as the Women’s team host Easington Sports at The MGroup Stadium in the Oxfordshire County Cup on Sunday (2pm KO). 

Coming off the back of a dominant 7-1 victory over Woodley United in the league last weekend Walton is looking to keep the positive run going. 

“We’re all looking forward to the semi-final. It will be a tough game but the confidence is there and we are looking to keep the momentum that we’ve built over the last week going” he said. 

City, who are the most successful side in the competition’s history are looking to make the final once again. “We can’t be complacent. The girls are prepared to make sure we do everything we can on the pitch. 

“We have to show them the respect they deserve. They’ve come a long way in this competition, and we will have to work to get the result we want.

“It will be good to get a crowd to lift the girls and get us into another final.”
