Australian born Miccio has impressed whilst on trial with the Hoops and now he’s raring to go ahead of the upcoming Vanarama National League South campaign.
“It’s great to be here! I’m happy to finally get it over the line and get stuck into being an Oxford City player.” Miccio told us.
“I can’t wait to get started and get the season underway.
“It’s nice to not be a trialist on the team sheet anymore, have a squad number and be a part of this club.
“From the first moment I came here on trial, I could see myself playing here. There’s a really good bunch of lads here, everyone is very welcoming and I felt right at home straight away.”
Miccio started his career with Australian side Central Coast Mariners before moving to England and he’s said that his time with Bedford was a learning curve for him that can only benefit City this season.
“I had a good season with Bedford last year, I got amongst the goals and got forward a lot.
“I played a lot of games too which was good for me and I really learnt a lot there, especially the physical side of the game here in England.
“You don't really see that much in Australia but it was a really good experience and it took me to where I am today.
“Hopefully I can bring some of that to Oxford now.”
