Match Preview | Oxfordshire Women's Cup Final | Kidlington v Oxford City
City Women eye cup glory.

Oxford City Women are looking to become Oxfordshire Women's Cup champions for the first time in three years as the Hoops take on Kidlington on Sunday at Thame United's ASM Stadium (2:30pm KO).
Despite the news that Manager Connor Walton will be stepping down at the end of the season, the team have two cup finals remaining to cap off an already successful season, starting with Sunday's game.
The Hoops last won the title in 2022 when a 3-0 win over Carterton handed City the title, and if they repeat that feat, City will become champions for a record sixteenth time.
In the last two seasons, City have come up short in the final. A narrow 1-0 defeat to a strong Oxford United side last season saw City come agonisingly close to another title, but now the Hoops can redeem that defeat with a win over Kidlington.

THE ROAD TO THE FINAL
OXFORD CITY
East Oxford Ladies 2-12 Oxford City
Oxford City 7-0 Barton United
Oxford City 7-0 Easington Sports
City have made light work on their way to the final, but Sunday's test will be more testing.
The Hoops have scored 26 goals in just three games as the team showed their class in the previous rounds.
Eager to regain their title, they've brushed past lower ranked opposition to book their place in the final.
KIDLINGTON
Kidlington 6-0 Longford Park Vixens
Headington Ladies 1-2 Kidlington
Thame United 1-6 Kidlington
A convincing victory over Thame United booked Kidlington's place in the final.
With the final at Thame's ASM Stadium, perhaps Kidlington are better prepared with the surface, but strong performances in previous rounds also stand them in good stead.

THE MANAGER'S THOUGHTS
Manager Connor Walton said: "The girls have done so well to get to the final.
"Last season's defeat in the final of the Women's Cup against Oxford United was one of the most impressive performances I've seen from the group, and if we can replicate that form in the final then I have absolute belief that we can regain the title.
"We have to be on it. Kidlington are a very capable side with some good players and they'll be right at it on Sunday.
"We have two cup finals to cap off the season. If we can pick up silverware, it'd be great for the club but it would also give us some momentum going into the Chairman's Cup Final too."
