Oxford City Women look to make progress in the County Cup when they welcome Easington Sports to The MGroup Stadium on Sunday (1.30 pm)

The Hoops were convincing 7-1 winners at home to Woodley in the league last Sunday and Coach Connor Walton is looking for another good performance in the heat of a local cup tie this weekend

“I was really pleased with the way we played against Woodley” he said.

“Everyone contributed, we were sound defensively and we looked dangerous up front. We also had the opportunity to bring some of the younger players into the team. Five or six of the players last Sunday have come through the set up here and it is great to see them step up and take their chances.

“It will be a hard game on Sunday, it always is in the County Cup. But we’ve been playing well and are in good form so hopefully we have enough to get through.”

A warm welcome is always guaranteed at the MGroup Stadium. Admission is just £1 with the bar, food hatch and club shop all open so come along and enjoy some live football at 1.30 on Sunday.
