Millie Hume has said that Oxford City are looking to 'put things right' on Sunday evening, as the Hoops look to book themselves a place in the Oxfordshire (FA) Women's Cup Final.
Connor Walton's will replay their Semi-Final against Oxford University Women on Sunday (19:00 at the RAW Charging Stadium), after the previous tie was abandoned due to floodlight failure.
The Hoops were 1-0 down at the time, but Hume has said that the second chance will only spur the team on to find a result second time around.
"We are feeling very up for it and looking to put things right," said Hume.
"As we were 1-0 down in the last game we need to prove a point that we can beat them and that we want it more.
"Going into this semi-final we feel ready for the challenge. We back every single one of us to put in 110%.
"We believe we can challenge for this competition, so we are going to put everything we have into Sunday.
"We have come so far as a team this season, to make to the final would be a win in itself."
Hume is a product of the club's Velocity Football Academy as the player pathway at the club (from junior teams through to the first team) continues to go from strength to strength.
Furthermore, the City Women's full-back has attributed a lot to the academy.
She added: "Velocity has helped me develop not only as an individual but also in a team setting."
"Aliyah has been a huge part of my grown the past two years, both in out of Velocity.
"She’s bought back my confidence and helped me to believe in myself. Training has improved my fitness a lot which massively assist with the first team at Oxford City."
