Throughout this week, 870 of our footballers from U6’s to our First Teams have taken part in contributing miles to BBC Radio Oxfords ‘Ten Times Thames Challenge’ Collectively we accumulated 1,082 miles.
Miles were achieved by coaches including a specific warm up in one of their training sessions this week. From pitch laps to dribbling and ball mastery, each distance covered was recorded.
The challenge was set by BBC Radio Oxford's Bridgette Tetteh. In aid of the BBC's Children In Need, she wanted listeners to add SPOTacular miles to the grand total... enough to travel the length of the Thames ten times!
We are incredibly proud of our players and staff for their efforts in achieving this number. We at Oxford City Football Club are pleased to have supported BBC Children in Need. Thank you to parents and staff who also donated to this super worthy cause.
