The 26-year-old shot stopper signs on loan for the entirety of the 23/24 season after helping the club win promotion via the play-offs last season.
Speaking to oxfordcityfc.co.uk ‘Haighy’ (as he is more commonly known around the squad) admitted that he couldn’t wait to get going again at the club:
“It’s going to be really enjoyable being an underdog in most of the games, I can’t wait and I know the boys can’t wait to get started.
“The way the season ended was amazing for me, especially after breaking my leg earlier in the year, and it made everything seem worthwhile.
“Now, with a full pre-season under my belt I’ll be ready to go. Hopefully we can surprise a few next season.”
The highly rated shot stopper joined parent club Ebbsfleet from Concord Rangers after making the headlines with a man-of-the-match performance in the FA Trophy Final at Wembley in 2021.
Haigh had been at Concord since 2019 and made over fifty appearances for the Essex side before making the move to full-time football with Ebbsfleet.
Prior to his National League South career, he was voted as player of the season at Heybridge Swifts after helping them win the Isthmian North Play-Off Final in 2018/19.
He also represented Watford at U21 level before his career in senior football.
Welcome back Haighy!
