Ex-Sunderland midfielder joins the Hoops.

Oxford City are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Tom Scott.

Scott, 21, signed for Sunderland from Northampton Town in 2021 and played regularly in the PL2 for the Black Cats.

He made one senior appearance for Sunderland in the EFL Trophy against Manchester United U21’s, before signing for Banbury United last summer.

City fans may remember Scott from our pre-season friendly with the Puritans last season, where the midfielder scored an impressive solo goal against the Hoops.

He joined Kettering Town towards the end of last season, and now links up with Oxford City after impressing on trial.

He is available for selection ahead of today’s Emirates FA Cup Second Round Qualifying tie vs Willand Rovers.
