Oxford City are delighted to announce the signing of Goalkeeper Rylee Mitchell on a youth loan from Sky Bet League One side Stevenage.
The 18-year-old joins the Hoops on a 28-day loan, and adds depth to the goalkeeping department at the club.
Rylee signed his first professional contract with Stevenage in May 2023.
He spent time on the bench at Broadhall Way, and had loan spells with Potters Bar and Royston Town.
In October 2023, he was selected to join England’s Development Training Camp and was put through his paces by England’s team of goalkeeper coaches at St George’s Park.
After signing on loan, Rylee said: “It happened quite quickly, I got told about interest from Oxford City and signed as soon as I could.
“It’ll be good to make my debut, and hopefully I can get some minutes under my belt and see what happens.”
Oxford City Manager Sam Cox added: “I’m really excited for Rylee to be coming in.
“He’s someone we’ve been monitoring and he played against us in pre-season.
“With the injury that Kai picked up in training, we needed an emergency loan and we’ve been a fan of him for a long time.
“He’s done really well with Stevenage in pre-season, he’s been with the first team and is good technically and as a shot stopper.
“He’s going to be really important for us for this next month.”
Oxford City would like to thank Stevenage for their co-operation with this deal, and allowing Rylee to join us on loan.
Welcome to Oxford City, Rylee!
