Oxford City are delighted to announce the signing of Will Dawes on loan from Vanarama National League side Yeovil Town.

The versatile winger can play in numerous positions in defence and in the frontline and bolsters Ross Jenkins’ ranks for the remainder of the season.

Dawes joined the Glovers after a fruitful spell at Stratford Town, spending two years with the Warwickshire side before his move to Huish Park. He also spent a brief spell on loan at fellow VNLS side Weymouth earlier this season.

Manager Ross Jenkins said, “He’s someone we’ve had our eye on for a while.

“I knew of him at Stratford before he signed for Yeovil but we’ve kept tabs on him and he has qualities that we can use.

“I think he’ll fit straight into the squad as he’s a good character with great work rate and appetite for success. He’s coming here to help the team achieve something this year.

“So I’m really pleased to get this over the line.”
