As they gear up for the busy Bank Holiday schedule, our men's first team trained at the University of Oxford for the first time on Thursday morning.
Since strengthening the partnership between the two organisations in the summer, the first team will have the use of the first-class facilities at the University of Oxford throughout the season.
The first team squad were put through their paces at University College, and the grass pitches will allow the team to improve preparations for upcoming fixtures on similar surfaces.
Oxford City Manager Sam Cox said; "It's fantastic to have this partnership with the university.
"For them to facilitate us and provide a facility like they have done has been brilliant, and they were very welcoming and accommodating.
"Hopefully we can keep building the partnership and strive forward together. It's very exciting to be working with the university."
Alongside the sharing of facilities, the long-term collaboration will see the world-renowned university and the oldest football club in Oxford work closely together across other key areas such as education and research.
Off the field, a new professional football player certificate programme is also in the works for members of our first team squads and staff.
Moreover, there is a continuation of a series of research programmes that the club are working alongside the university.
Justin Merritt, Oxford City owner said:
“This is a very exciting project to be involved with, something that works on all levels and we hope benefits the club, the University and the whole city."
