Ross Jenkins: Looking forward to St Albans

Ross Jenkins on facing St Albans City at Clarence Park on Tuesday.

Ross Jenkins and Oxford City face a midweek Vanarama National League South fixture on Tuesday evening against St Albans City. The Hoops come into this fixture with 4 wins from the last 5 games, and no doubt Jenkins and Andy Ballard will want to extend this run of good form. The Hoops came out victorious at the weekend with an emphatic scoreline of 5-0 against Tonbridge Angels. Here’s what Jenkins had to say ahead of tomorrow’s clash:

“The main thing is that we prepare properly for Tuesday, as it’s a big game.”

“St Albans away, so we’ll prepare, recover and go again.”

City’s opponents sit in 7th place, so a win for them is crucial to maintain their play-off bids, but likewise for City if they want to stay in the title race. We faced St Albans earlier in the season at the Velocity Stadium. The Saints beat the Hoops 4-1 in the FA Trophy, so no doubt Jenkins and the side will want to take all 3 points in this fixture.

“When you’re on a little run of good form, then we do want the games to keep coming.”

“We’ll take the positives and then go into the game against St Albans on Tuesday.”

We look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible.

C’mon you Hoops!
