Oxford City is delighted to announce the signing of full-back Tafari Moore from St Albans City. 

The former Arsenal academy graduate joins the club after a stellar season in National League South with the Saints. 

Moore can play as a wing-back on both sides of the pitch and will bolster Ross Jenkins’ squad with both talent and versatility ahead of the Hoops' first season in the fifth tier. 

Upon signing for the Hoops Moore said: “I’m excited, feeling good and I can’t wait to get started. 

“After the season I had I was hoping to make the next step and to make that next step with this team is a great feeling for me. 

“I’m very attacking, I like to get forward and put crosses into the box. 

“It’ll be a difficult challenge in the National League. The standard is great but I can’t wait to get going with the boys.” 

Tafari joins the Hoops with a wealth of experience under his belt, including on the international youth stage. 

The defender earned call-ups for England at Under 16, Under 17, Under 18 and Under 19 level. He was also part of the Three Lions' squad that won the U17’s European Championships in 2014. 

Moreover, his impressive performances earned him a place in the competition’s team of the tournament alongside the likes of Joe Gomes, Ruben Neves, Steven Bergwijn and Renato Sanches. 

Furthermore, the defender has first team experience in the EFL and abroad.

He spent time on loan with Dutch side FC Utrecht whilst at Arsenal, but after leaving the Emirates he went on to represent Plymouth Argyle and Colchester United in the EFL. 

He moved to his local side Hendon FC after leaving Home Park, before joining St Albans at the beginning of the 2022/23 season. 

Tafari becomes the second player to put pen-to-paper with the Hoops after Chris Haigh joined on loan from Ebbsfleet United.
