Oxford City Women picked up a hard-fought point on the road this afternoon as they drew 3-3 at Badshot Lea.
Goals from forwards Lucy and Ellie White and defender Billie Bough-French earned the Hoops a draw but as Manager Connor Walton told us, it could have been more.
“First of all credit to both teams” he told us. "The conditions weren’t easy on a heavy pitch but everyone involved gave it a real go and it turned into a really good game to watch.
“We have scored a lot of goals this season and added another three today but it could have been more: we had one disallowed and we felt a key decision went against us as well, but we only have ourselves to blame for not winning the game really. If you let three in as an away side you are always going to be up against it.
“But the overall feeling was that this was a positive performance. It’s a young group so we are learning all the time and there were some really encouraging performances.”
