Women Lose At Wycombe

White goal not enough for Hoops at the Chairgirls

Oxford City Women were beaten for just the second time in the league this season as they slipped to a 4-1 defeat at Wycombe Wanderers this afternoon.

An Ellie White strike in the first half proved to be a mere consolation for the Hoops as two goals from Kayla Potter, a penalty from Puddefoot and a Jess Watkins goal eased the Chairgirls to all three points.

“It was an even first half and Ellie’s goal made it 1-1 at the break” Co-Manager Chris Smith told us “but the penalty changed things early after the restart and then we had to chase the game. There was plenty of effort but for once we couldn't find another goal o get back into thnigs

“It was a disappointing result but credit to Wycombe and now it is all about how we bounce back”
