Oxford City are delighted to announce that Alfie Potter has signed a new deal to remain at the club for the 24/25 season.
Since joining City in 2020, the winger has played a pivotal role throughout his time at the club, a particular highlight being his goal in the National League South Play-Off Semi-Final tie versus Worthing.
Last season, Alfie secured his spot in Oxford City folklore after he scored the club's first ever goal in the fifth tier away at Aldershot Town on the opening day of the 23/24 season.
The 35-year-old has made 75 appearances for City to date, and after extending his stay will now enter his fifth season as a Hoops player.
Of course, Potter is a man who needs no introduction to football fans in Oxford after his contributions to both of the city’s football clubs.
In 2010, his goal at Wembley clinched Oxford United’s promotion to the Football League in a 3-1 win over York City in the Conference Play-Off Final.
Now, with his CV including promotions at both Oxford clubs, Potter is hoping for more success this season in a new era at Court Place Farm.
“I’m very happy to have signed for another year at a fantastic club.” Potter said after signing his new deal.
“I’m excited for the season ahead and believe that with the players we have retained from last season and the appointment of the new manager, we can have another successful season.”
