Connor Walton is hoping that Oxford City Women can continue their solid start to the SRWFL season with three points against Winchester City Flyers on Sunday (2.00pm).
The Hoops started their season with a 1-1 draw away at Sholing, and now ahead of their first home game of the season, they'll be looking to go one better against familiar opponents.
Speaking to www.oxfordcityfc.co.uk before the match, Manager Connor Walton said: "We're really looking forward to our first home match of the season.
"It'll be good to see as many people at the match as possible, and we'll be looking to put on a show for them.
"It's a chance for our fans to see our new signings for the first time too. I'm really excited."
Ellie Walecki's goal opened the Hoops' account for the season last weekend, but if the team are to get anything from the weekend's clash, they'll have to be at their very best.
Winchester City Flyers are familiar opponents in the SRWFL, but Walton isn't taking them for granted.
"We know that if we're not at the races, we could be in for a long afternoon." he added.
"Winchester are a very capable team and they've added some new faces to the squad over the summer break.
"However, we will always back ourselves and I have every faith in the team to put in a good performance.
"If the performance is there, the result will look after itself."
