LEWIS MICCIO SIGNS ON FOR 2023/24

Andrew Gate • June 2, 2023

Oxford City FC is delighted to announce that Lewis Miccio has signed a new deal with the club ahead of the 2023/24 season.

The versatile defender signed from step four side Bedford Town in the summer and has slotted into the Hoops squad seamlessly.

Miccio, who can play both centrally or as a left-back, played every minute in City's National League South play-off matches and also scored his only goal of the season at home to Worthing during the regular season.

The Australian follows Reece Fleet, Josh Ashby & Tom Harrison in committing their future to the club ahead of our maiden season in the National League.

Speaking after signing his new deal with the club, Miccio said: “I am very happy to have re-signed with the club.

"Not only is it a great opportunity for myself, but to be a part of Oxford City in their first season in the National League is very exciting.

"I really enjoyed my time here last year, especially with a good second half to the season so I already can’t wait to get the new season preparations underway.

Obviously, with the step up, it’s going to be a challenging year but it's something that we’re all ready for.

"I think if we can use the momentum gained from last seasons play off win, we can really make an impact on the league."
