Oxford City will be hoping to keep their wining run going as Ross Jenkins' sides travel to a rejuvenated Welling side. The Wings almost dropped out of the league last season, but after a revival under new manager Warren Feeney - they look like they'll be in the thick of the promotion hunt this season.

LAST TIME OUT:

After the departure of David Oldfield to Weymouth, Ross Jenkins and Andy Ballard took the reigns for the first time at Park View Road.

Former England Manager Peter Taylor was at the helm for the hosts, but his side couldn't keep out Joe Iaciofano's strike on 56 minutes at City completed a league double over the Wings.

The striker controlled Nana Owusu's shot inside the box and found the room to drill the ball into the net, despite the best efforts from the recovering Welling defender.

FORM:

WELLING UNITED

Form: LWWLW

Welling's impressive start means the Wings come into the fixture just one place outside the play-offs (8th).

There's certainly a feel good factor around Park View Road after Monday's 2-1 win away at Dulwich Hamlet and Warren Feeney will be looking to record back-to-back wins for a second time this season.

A number of new recruits have impressed for the Wings so far, and the signing of Jamie Sendles-White this week adds further depth to their squad.

OXFORD CITY

Form: LWWWW

City continued their impressive run over the Bank Holiday weekend with victories over Weymouth and Hampton & Richmond.

An impressive run of form from Ross Jenkins' side, who have also kept four clean-sheets in their last four games.

Jenkins' side will be hoping to replicate last season's form against Saturday's opponents. The Hoops did the double over the Wings without conceding a goal.

ONE TO WATCH: Ade Azeez

The signing of Azeez was a statement of intent from the Wings and the striker has already shown what he can offer Warren Feeney's side this season. After joining from Dartford in the summer, Azeez has two goals under his belt already and will most likely be towards the top of the VNLS goalscoring charts come April.

The well-travelled frontman has represented England at U19 level but most notably made his name with AFC Wimbledon, appearing in 85 games for the Dons before moving to Scottish Premier League side Partick Thistle.

Not many strikers at this level have the pedigree that Azeez has (and not many can say they've scored against Scottish giants Celtic at Celtic Park).

WHAT THE GAFFER SAID:

“We take every game, one at a time. We need to address the Welling game and it’s going to be a tough game.
“I know the manager (Warren Feeney) and they’ve re-structured their team and added new players and it’s going to be a really tough game on Saturday.
“I played with him (Feeney) when I was on loan with Plymouth. He’s a hard worker and a real firm no-nonsense character so we’ll expect that from his team.
“They’re going to be hard working, aggressive, on the front foot.”
