Oxford City FC Continues to Build Its Infrastructure Off the Field

October 1, 2024

Oxford City FC is pleased to announce two key developments as we continue to strengthen our infrastructure and drive the club forward both on and off the pitch.

Firstly, we are delighted to confirm that Allan Steele has been appointed as Head of Strategy and Football Operations following four months of consultancy with the club.

Allan brings a wealth of experience across all areas of football, having spent nine years with Brentford FC, where he served as Technical Lead of Brentford B and helped to rebuild their Academy.

After a short spell at Forest Green Rovers, Allan joined Oxford City FC to help develop our core strategy centred on People, Community, and Partnerships.

As a Pro Licenced coach and qualified teacher, Allan is passionate about people development and leadership, aligning perfectly with the club’s philosophy. His focus will be on building and enhancing the structure both on and off the pitch as we continue to grow.

In addition to Allan’s appointment, Louise Merritt, Managing Director of Ignite Sport UK, will continue her valued work with Oxford City FC.

Louise has been instrumental in shaping the club's customer-focused approach and will now lead several key projects alongside Allan.

Together, they will further align our strategy with the club's core goals, ensuring a fan-centric, people-focused experience in all aspects of the club's operations.

These developments reflect our ongoing commitment to building a strong future for Oxford City FC. We are excited to see the impact of Allan and Louise’s combined expertise as we continue to drive the club forward.
