Oxford City Football Club are delighted to confirm the signing of Charlie Stirland on loan from Sky Bet League Two side MK Dons.
The 19-year-old Centre-Half made his senior debut for MK Dons last week in the EFL Trophy against Leyton Orient, but arrives at The MGroup Stadium looking to enhance his development.
Manager Ross Jenkins said: “We’ve got a good relationship with MK Dons, we’ve had some players on loan from them in the past.
“Charlie is a great lad with a great attitude and he performed well for the first team in their EFL cup game recently.
“He’s had loan spells in men’s football too which really helps, so I’m excited to get him in and hopefully we can add some experience to his CV and he can bring some freshness to us.”
After coming through the academy ranks with hometown club Middlesbrough, Stirland moved south to sign with MK Dons aged 17.
Since then, he has gone on to sign a professional deal with the club in the summer.
He’s had his fair share of experience in men’s football too, after spending time on loan with Newport Pagnell Town, AFC Dunstable and most recently Leighton Town.
Welcome to Oxford City, Charlie!
