ROSS JENKINS | CONFIDENCE IS GROWING

The gaffer previews Bank Holiday clash.

Oxford City Manager Ross Jenkins says that confidence is growing in the Hoops camp after two impressive points on the road.

This afternoon's meeting with Boreham Wood is another tough task for the team, but after Saturday's draw with Maidenhead, the City boss is seeing encouraging signs.

The Bank Holiday Monday fixtures usually attract larger crowds with no EFL or Premier League action.

Furthermore, the swift turnaround (two games in the space of three days) will undoubtedly affect squads throughout the divisions. Nevertheless, Jenkins is confident that his squad will be fired up and ready to go!

“Performance levels are increasing." said Jenkins.

"Confidence is growing. Now we’re at home to Boreham Wood and the boys are fully prepared and fully energised for the game.

“Maidenhead was a big shift but we’re getting ready for another big shift. The boys are professional and they'll have had their rest and look after themselves so we're ready for another shift against Boreham Wood.

"I'm looking forward to playing in front of our fans at home, back on our turf so we're really delighted with that."

There'll be a familiar face in the squad too, as the Hoops confirmed the loan signing of Fulham Striker Olly Sanderson just before Saturday's match.

He made his second City debut from the bench and the gaffer is pleased to have the striker back in the squad.

"We're delighted to have Olly back on board.

"It was a good start for him again, helping us earn a good point away from home so he can build on that."
