After Joe Iaciofano’s opener, Jefferson Louis gave City a scare with his equaliser in the first ten minutes of the game, before City found their feet and secured the win.
“They’re a lot better than people think,” he said after the game.
“People say they’re a couple of leagues below us but that’s irrelevant because they’re a really good team.
“Their striker gave us some problems, they defended really well and made it difficult for us in the first half.
“Once we got that second goal we felt a bit more comfortable and to see our strikers get on the score sheet is always a bonus.”
Iaciofano went on to grab two goals on the night and Jacob Bancroft also secured a brace and Jenkins was pleased with what he saw during the game.
“I thought we played some good football at times and matched it with our end product.
“We were either getting a shot or a cross off so it’s really important we keep building on that because goals win games.
“We were unfortunate with the clean sheet, we really wanted one but we want to play a particular style of football and sometimes you have to take risks.
“We took a little risk last night and we got punished for it but in the end it was a good win.”
