There’s no rest for the Hoops who will clock up the miles on the road once more, but this time will be looking for the result to match the performance.
Speaking to the media before the game, Jenkins said: ““Worthing is going to be a tough game, the boys were a little deflated after Fleetwood but they’ll be well over it by now.
“We’ve not had any time to sulk over the result for too long and the games come around quickly.
“It’s important to look at why we played well in the second-half at Fleetwood and try and replicate that on Tuesday evening as we did play really well.
“We let in some soft goals so we’re disappointed but it’s a good opportunity to put it right on Tuesday.
“We’ve got to respect our opposition, like we have done all season, but we have to go and play our football.”
Worthing have been the most impressive of the promoted sides in Vanarama National League South this season, sitting just one place above the Hoops in the league table.
The Rebels have asserted themselves as play-off contenders and Jenkins was full of praise for Tuesday’s opposition.
“They’re up there for a reason but we’ve got to go down there and play our stuff,” Jenkins said.
“If we don’t, I’ll be more disappointed with that (than Saturday’s defeat), as when we do play, we have more than enough quality to win games of football.
“They’re new to the league, and everyone is working out what teams strengths and weaknesses are, what types of players they have.
“From what I’ve seen they’re a good footballing team. I think it will be a good football game, as from what I’ve seen they try and play in the right manner.
“I think it’ll come down to who has the most energy and appetite to win the game and hopefully we will and our boys are ready to put Saturday’s result right.”
