Oxford City Striker Josh Parker has admitted that there'll be no excuses from the squad ahead of the Hoops' season opener away at Marine.
Throughout pre-season, Sam Cox has been laying the foundations of an exciting style during the pre-season fixtures, but Parker has alluded to the fact that the team need to hit the ground running.
Speaking to www.oxfordcityfc.co.uk, Parker said;
“I’m really looking forward to it."
"It feels like a long time since the back end of last season and it’s been the longest break I’ve had in my career but a much wanted game is now upon us.
“You always want to start as you mean to go on, it’s vital. I think statistically when you look at the first ten games, it sets the precedence for the season more often than not.
“Coxy’s (Sam Cox) been reiterating that to the boys that there is no bedding period now, pre-season is the bedding period and now it’s work time and there’s no excuses."
