The Hoops will travel a lengthy 6,662 miles across the 2024/25 Vanarama National League North season, a fair bit more than the season prior.
City face an increase of 1,339 miles when comparing that to last season in the National League, and a further increase of 2,575 compared to the last time we tasted Step 2 football in the National League South.
The shortest journey City will face is a 44 mile round trip to Northamptonshire side Brackley Town, a side who have finished in the play-off zone for the previous seven years running, but have failed to progress from that point onwards each time.
City’s next shortest journey following that is an 84 mile round trip to newly promoted side Leamington FC, who have bounced straight back up to the Vanarama National League North after falling to relegation to Step 3 in the 22/23 season.
In contrast, about ⅓ (7) of City’s opponents for the 24/25 season are over 3 hours away from Court Place Farm (one-way) with the longest treck of the season being a huge 522 mile round trip in which they will face The Mariners, South Shields, up in Tyne and Wear.
The Hoops’ second longest journey of the season is another colossal trip, a 484 mile round trip in which they will visit Spennymoor Town, a side who have finished in the top half of the Vanarama National League North in three consecutive campaigns.
Overall, CIty will cover 3,331 miles (one-way) when travelling to fixtures. Including the return journey to Court Place Farm that figure will double to 6,662 miles across the 24/25 season.
