Ross Jenkins looking for more of the same from his City side against Cheshunt

November 25, 2022

Oxford City manager Ross Jenkins is looking for more of the same from his side on Saturday as the Hoops travel to newly promoted Cheshunt in Vanarama National League South.

City go into the game on the back of an impressive point against high-flying Dartford and the Hoops boss believes that if his team approach the fixture with the same attitude, then they’re more than capable of picking up three points.

“I don’t think results have gone their way throughout the season but they’ve picked up some good results leading into our game.” Jenkins told www.oxfordcityfc.co.uk .

“It’s a difficult place to go to because it’s unknown territory for us. Some of the players haven’t been there so it’s going to be a challenge.

“We’ll prepare as best as possible but the most important thing is our attitude, if we go there with a good attitude then we’ll get a good result so that’s the bottom line.

“It doesn’t matter if it’s raining or if it’s dry, cold or windy we have to go there with the same attitude that we had against Dartford where we were first-class.

“If we go there with that mentality then I think the result will look after itself.”
