Backroom staff confirmed.

Oxford City FC are pleased to confirm members of Sam Cox's backroom team ahead of the season.

Andy Ballard will stay at City ahead of the 2024/25 season to assist Sam Cox, as will new additions Liam Badcock and Mel Gwinnett.

The club would also like to place on record its thanks to both Alan Foster and Leigh Grant who have left the club over the course of the summer.

A former City player, Foster became Goalkeeper Coach at Court Place Farm in 2020 and played an important part of both David Oldfield's and Ross Jenkins' coaching staff.

Leigh Grant has spent the last two season's at the club as our Kit Manager and had previously been our U23 team's Goalkeeper Coach.

Both staff leave with our best wishes and thanks for their service to the club.

Andy Ballard

Someone who needs no introduction to City fans, Andy will stay on with the coaching staff this season.

Ballard made over 300 appearances for Oxford City before moving into coaching. He managed Didcot Town, helping the Railwaymen reach the play-offs for the first time in seven years in 2017.

He made the move to Court Place Farm ahead of the 2019/20 season, and has since been an instrumental part of the club's success.

Ballard told oxfordcityfc.co.uk. "I'm delighted to stay with the club for the upcoming season.

"Having played in the Naitonal League North for the club, I'm looking forward to working with Sam and the players as we tackle what will certainly be a tough but exciting season."

Liam Badcock

Joining the coaching staff this season will be Liam Badcock, who follows Sam Cox from Wealdstone.

The duo worked together at Tottenham Hotspur working within the academy at Spurs. Cox & Badcock have worked together since, with the duo going on to coach the Guyana national team and then Wealdstone as an interim management team.

After joining the club, Liam told oxfordcityfc.co.uk =, "I'm buzzing to join the club.

"The players have been excellent since we've arrived and the application has also been excellent from everyone, not just the players but from everyone working behind the scenes.

"I'm looking forward to the start of the season."

Mel Gwinnett will also be assisting Sam and the coaching team as the season progresses.

Elsewhere, Allan Steele has joined the club this summer as our new Head of Strategy and will work closely within all aspects of the football club.

Dom Wheway will continue in his role within the analysis department as our Lead 1st Team Analyst with Martin Wilkinson continuing as Head of Performance.
