The 20-year-old defender made a heroic goal line clearance late on in the game to keep a clean sheet intact against the National League South leaders and cap off a solid defensive showing.
Asare’s display against Dartford was enough to earn him the City Man of the Match award after a solid 90 minutes for the centre back.
Both the Hoops' defence and attack were kept busy throughout an enthralling contest and Asare admits that a point is a good result for the team.
“I feel that it was a very very tough game. Dartford are flying this season, so it was always going to be tough.”
Zico said.
“With the game being away as well, the crowd was against us the whole time, so we can take a point.”
“We’re a team that’s very hard to beat. That’s our 4th clean sheet in 5 games, so it means we’re very tough and very resilient.”
“It was a very entertaining 0-0 and very end-to-end. Either team could’ve won.”
City return home at the weekend with another tough fixture. This time it’s up against Dulwich Hamlet who currently sit joint on points with the Hoops. We look forward to seeing as many people here at the game as possible.
