Match Preview: Oxford City vs Ebbsfleet Utd

Ethan Gough • November 29, 2021

Oxford City will look to bounce back from Saturday's FA Trophy defeat against Vanarama National League South high-flyers Ebbsfleet on Tuesday night.

The Hoops will want to put Saturday behind them and kick on with the league campaign to try and push up the league. Ebbsfleet currently sit in 2nd place, but have played less games than most other teams, so are looking like real promotion contenders at this stage in the season.

Team News

Josh Ashby started in the FA Trophy fixture following his 3 match suspension for a straight red card against Chelmsford and the central midfielder is now available to be selected for league fixtures. Another name that returned to the City starting lineup was Alfie Potter, with the creative playmaker making his first start since the 5-1 win over Bath City following his lengthy injury.

However, Charlie Rowan is not available to David Oldfield’s selections tomorrow night following a straight red card for a stamp in the St Albans game on Saturday. The centre-back will be unavailable for the next 3 fixtures.
