Oxford City FC are pleased to announce that the 1882 Bar will be hosting a MacMillan Cancer Support fundraiser after Saturday's match against Dagenham & Redbridge.
Staff (and supporters) will be 'braving the shave' after the game to raise vital funds for MacMillan.
We'll be encouraging fans to donate on the day and there may be an opportunity to get involved yourself (if you're brave enough).
Furthermore, there will be a cake sale and a live DJ until 9pm so supporter's can enjoy the evening with us! As usual, we'll also have the live football on our screens for supporters to enjoy.
All in all, we're looking forward to inviting fans to stay after the match to enjoy a fabulous evening whilst raising money for a brilliant charity!
If you a regular visitor to Oxford City on matchday, or even a Saturday morning, you will likely know our catering assistant, Kelly.
Kelly has been involved with Oxford City since the 2005/06 season (when the club were playing in the South Spartan Midland's League) and has been a regular at home and away games since.
She is at the very heart of our club and a much-loved member of staff here.
Kelly is currently battling cancer, and in support of her, we will be raising money for MacMillan, a charity she has said are worth their weight in gold.
"MacMillan nurses are amazing." Kelly said.
"The MacMillan nurses have helped me through all of this. They're always at the end of the phone if you need them, 24/7.
"They're not just there for you either but your family too and can help support them.
"I think people don't fully realise what they do and the background behind them. They are worth their weight in gold.
"We want to try and raise as much money as we can to help support them."
Throughout the stadium and in the 1882 Bar, there will be QR codes posted about how you can donate to Kelly's fundraiser.
Any donations to the charity would be greatly appreciated.
